The Bible highlights His faithful care for us in several ways. We need to understand this and thank Him for it daily. Let us identify some of the symbols of His faithful care in the Bible. The first symbol of God’s faithful care for us is that He comforts us like a mother. In Isaiah 66:13, the Bible says, “As one w

His preacher came to visit, talked about God’s healing power and prayed for him. When the preacher was done, the man said, “If God heals me, I’ll give the church a million dollars”. Miraculously, the man got better and was out of the hospital. Several months later, the preacher bumped into him and said, “You know, when you were in the hospital dying, you promised to give the church a million dollars if you got well. We haven’t received it as of yet”. The businessman replied, “Did I say that? I guess that goes to show how sick I really was”. READ DCLM Daily Manna Mo

RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 31 July 2023 MESSAGE What is leading you in life? Is it your flesh or the Spirit of God? Whenever you allow the flesh to give you direction, it will always end in regret, but when you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in all things, you can be sure that all will be well. The first step to overcoming lusts and temptations is submission to God, which supplies the power you need to resist the devil, and he will flee from you according to James 4:7. Moreover, the good news is that the faithfulness of God will not allow His children to

It was a decisive battle of its age, which concluded a war that had raged for about 23 years. It was at Waterloo in Belgium, where Napoleon Bonaparte suffered defeat at the hands of the Duke of Wellington, ending the Napoleonic era of European domination. Joshua also had a challenging task of taking Israel to the Promised Land. Before now, he had gone to wars at the instance of Moses’ commands. The quote typifies Jehoram, the king of Israel, who allied himself with the kings of Judah and Edom, to fight Mesha, the king of Moab who had rebelled against Jehoram. The king of Israel had obtained the assistance of the kings of Judah and Edom to war against Moab. Unfortunately for them, while on their seven days trip to the battlefield, they ran out of water for the host and their cattle. The king of Israel lost hope, having no relationship with God. James 1:15 READ: James 1:12-15 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 30 July 2023 MESSAGE Temptation is the pressure to yield to influences that can lead people away from God and into sin. DCLM Daily Manna Saturday 29 July 2023  TOPIC:  Unconditional Love KEY VERSE: “I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications” (Psalm 116:1). TEXT: Psalm 116:1-6 (KJV) 1 I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. 2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. 3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. 4 Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. 5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. 6 The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. DCLM Daily Manna Saturday 29 July 2023 MESSAGE It is generally accepted that love is blind and should be unconditional. We are not to love a person because of what we get from him. It is no longer considered to be pure and sincere if a show of love is a response to one’s benefactor. While this may be true,

RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 28 July 2023  TOPIC:  God Seekers (II) MEMORISE But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  Hebrews 11:6 READ: John 12:20-22 20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: 21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. 22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 28 July 2023 MESSAGE Yesterday, we discussed three ways we can seek God, namely – through His word, with all of our hearts and by obeying His will. Today, we shall continue to look at how we can seek God and the blessings that come to those who seek Him. We can effectively seek and find God by faith. DCLM Daily Manna Thursday 27 July 2023 TOPIC: Faith That Works TEXT:  Luke 17:11-19 (KJV) KEY VERSE “And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”  (Luke 17:14) DCLM Daily Manna Thursday 27 July 2023 MESSAGE In human relationships, trust is based on physical evidence. People must have something tangible to hold on to before they can believe and act on a promise or an order. When you transact a business and have made payment, you will require a receipt, which is your proof of payment and what assures you that the goods will be delivered. Your receipt is your faith in the dealer and if he fails to perform, you have something in hand to hold against him before the law. In the spiritual realm, faith works differently. The lepers had faith in Jesus’ ability to heal them of their disease. This was why they came to Him in the first place; but their unquestioning obedience to the words of Jesus

He draws the humble close to Himself. In fact, pride creates a vast distance between you and God. Pride is a manifestation of the natural and carnal traits in a man. A truly born-again and Spirit-filled Christian should not be found guilty of this vice. If truly you are for Christ, then you must necessarily possess a humble heart, the mind of Chri

This appreciation can be demonstrated in various forms and ways but it must be seen to be commensurate to a large extent with the favour received. To fail to return thanks is to show that one does not appreciate the favour received. This attitude will, of course, block the possibility of receiving other favours from the giver. Moses and the children of Israel sang unto the Lord to show their appreciation for their miraculous deliverance from the Egyptian captivity. For more than 400 years, the children

TEXT:  Job 22:1-11 (KJV) KEY VERSE “Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?”  (Job 2:1,5) DCLM Daily Manna Tuesday 25 July 2023 MESSAGE The danger of too much learning and knowledge not being moderated is that it can make one arrogant. It makes one assume every other person is wrong in their views and that you alone have the correct answers and solutions to every issue. He craves to be given attention, consulted and heard at all times. Such a person does not have regard for other persons and often feels he is above all. Eliphaz was not pleased with Job’s argument because he felt he knew better and had superior arguments that would convict Job of his guilt. He levelled some accusations that were so direct at Job as if he was an eyewitness. He assumed the role of God and, therefore, came into the scene as a self-appointed adjudicator. God would later reb

RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 25 July 2023  TOPIC:  Fear God (I) MEMORISE The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  Proverbs 9:10 READ: Psalm 34:1-11 RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 25 July 2023 MESSAGE There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9 Today’s memory verse clearly establishes the need to fear the Lord if we would be wise and gain an understanding of life. The Lord asks: “A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour?” (Malachi 1:6). How do we fear the Lord? Today’s Bible reading gives us ideas on how we fear the Most High God. One, we must magnify the Lord for who He is. It takes the appreciation of God to fear Him. The Psalmist says: O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast

Subtily, he had stolen the birthright of Esau, his brother, and had

DCLM Daily Manna Monday 24 July 2023 TOPIC:  Don’t Let Them Break You TEXT:  Psalm 119:149-160 (KJV) KEY VERSE “Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.” (Psalm 119:157) DCLM Daily Manna Monday 24 July 2023 MESSAGE The strategy of the enemy during a conflict is to determine the opponent’s breaking point or weak point, target it and continue to hammer on it until he caves in and surrenders. This has been used in different forms and modes to bring down the resistance of an otherwise formidable enemy. King David, who himself was a war general and strategist, perfectly understood this approach employed by the enemy. He knew that the numerous enemies and traitors that confronted him had just one aim in mind: to break his resolve in God and bring him into defeat. It was for this reason that he made up his mind not to give up the confidence he had in God and in His word no matter the number of the enemies that antagonised him. READ RCCG Open

RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 24 July 2023  TOPIC:  God Still Speaks to His People (II) MEMORISE God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets. Hebrews 1:1 READ: Hebrews 1:1-2 RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional 24 July 2023 MESSAGE Yesterday, we started discussing the reality of God still speaking to His people, even to this present moment. In today’s text, we read that though God spoke to His people through His prophets, now He speaks through His Son, Jesus Christ. This is made possible through the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent to the Church right from the day of Pentecost. He promised: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 God still speaks to His people; no doubt about that. We must, however, pay close attention to the later part of the sentence – “to His people.”

Adeboye does not write these prayer points, by one of his numerous disciples, for Christ, who was inspired and mandated by the Holy Spirit, about 5 years ago, (effective January 1st, 2015), to start writing these prayer points, based on the Open Heavens Daily Devotional, authored by Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Prayer Points on Open Heaven 23 July 2023 Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your bountiful provisions and the marvellous opportunities You present to me daily. Your light guides me through darkness, and I ask for the grace to be more thankful each day, in the mighty name of Jesus. (Psalm 136:1, James 1:17) My Father, I humbly come before You, seeking forgiveness for my sins. Wash me clean and show me Your mercy, O Lord, in the name of Jesus. (1 John 1:9) Abba Father, grant me wisdom to fear You and walk in reverence before Your majesty, in the mighty name of Jesus. (Proverbs 9:10) Oh Lord, help me to diligently obey Your commands and kee

DCLM Daily Manna Sunday 23 July 2023  TOPIC:  Don’t Be a Disgraceful Christian TEXT:  Ezekiel 16:44-52 (KJV) KEY VERSE “Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they…”  (Ezekiel 16:52) DCLM Daily Manna Sunday 23 July 2023 MESSAGE Many years ago, a man wanted to play in the Imperial Orchestra, but he could not play a note. Since he was a person of great wealth and influence, he demanded to be allowed to join the orchestra so that he could perform in front of the king. The conductor agreed to let him sit in the second row of the orchestra. Even though he could not read music, he was given a flute and when a concert would begin, he would raise his instrument, pucker his lips and move his fingers. He went through all the motions of playing but never made a sound. This deception went on for two years. Then one day, a new conductor took over the orchestra.
